Hunger Hope and Healing

Community Yoga Class

Community Yoga Class

A healing journey is possible. Yoga is a key aspect of this healing because yoga can help us to re-calibrate our nervous system, digestive system, and endocrine system. The intersection of these 3-systems is a crucial matrix of why we keep reaching for food, or the next diet, or the next brownie, or the next workout plan. It is also connected to why we have food cravings, can’t lose weight, experience body pain, lethargy, anxiety, or depression.

Whether you’re struggling on the indulge or restrict parts of the pendulum, your nervous system, endocrine and digestive systems are involved. It’s likely that your gut-brain axis is less resilient than it could be, too.

This can ALL BE HEALED. Yoga asana and pranayama are two powerful tools for making the shifts from which your body would so deeply benefit.

Yoga is intended to be accessible to people of all ages and capacities. Chair yoga allows us all to come together to practice; to build our mobility, strength, proprioception, interoception, balance, and integration.

Chair yoga is not only for beginners! Students of all levels of yoga experience can benefit from these sessions. In addition, coming together as a community of practice that is inclusive of our various levels of ability, helps us to recognize our interconnectedness. You can anticipate that these sessions will be mindful, restorative, and balancing.
